A cat bed you won't want to hide when guests arrive.
Hand-woven from thick cotton rope into a low, open bowl, with two small cat-ear handles standing up on the rim and a rope teaser ball hanging off one side. It reads as a piece of home decor sitting next to your armchair — and it happens to be the spot your cat claims within a day.
To ship without being crushed, the bed is packed flat. It will not be perfectly round when you open the box. That is normal, and it takes about two minutes to fix:
Almost everyone who ends up disappointed with a woven rope bed skipped this step. Do it once, on day one, and you never think about it again. We would rather tell you now than have you open the box and think something went wrong.
The two rope ears on the rim aren't only decoration — they're how you pick the whole thing up. Move it from the living room to the bedroom, lift it onto the sofa, carry it out to a sunny patch by the window without disturbing the cat more than necessary.
A small woven cotton ball hangs from the rim on a short cord. It swings when they shift, which is usually enough to start a lazy paw-batting session without you having to find a toy. It's the detail that turns a bed into somewhere they choose to be.
The sides are low and the top is completely open. Cats can see the room, get in and out without climbing, and lie against the rim rather than being walled in. The woven cotton is breathable, so it doesn't trap heat the way a plush enclosed bed does — it works in summer as well as winter.
If your cat sleeps stretched out rather than in a tight ball, go Large.
Why isn't it round when it arrives?
It's folded flat for shipping. Steam or iron it once and it takes its shape permanently — see the steps above.
Does it come with a cushion or pad?
No. It's the woven basket on its own. Plenty of people drop in a folded blanket or a flat cushion; plenty of cats prefer the bare rope.
Will my cat scratch it to pieces?
Cotton rope handles claws well, and many cats treat the rim as a scratch surface — which most owners consider a bonus. Expect the rope to fuzz a little with use; that's the material behaving normally, not falling apart.
Can I put it on the sofa or the bed?
Yes. It's light and it has a flat base, so it sits fine on soft furniture as well as the floor.
Is it suitable for a dog?
Puppies and small dogs, yes. It is a bed, not a chew toy — if your dog chews rope, this isn't the right product for them.
